Venesection

Therapeutic Venesection

Therapeutic venesection is a procedure used to remove a controlled volume of blood as part of the management of certain medical conditions.

It may be recommended for individuals with:

    • Haemochromatosis (iron overload)

    • Polycythaemia (elevated red blood cell count)

    • Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)-related elevated haematocrit

    • Other conditions where venesection has been advised by a healthcare professional

At Phlebo, we provide therapeutic venesection in a safe, professional, and comfortable environment, with appointments designed around your schedule.

Important Information Before Booking

Therapeutic venesection is provided as a procedural service only.

To ensure treatment is carried out safely and appropriately, clients must have received prior advice, recommendation, or referral from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Phlebo does not:

    • Diagnose medical conditions

    • Prescribe treatment

    • Determine treatment frequency

    • Provide clinical recommendations regarding the need for venesection

Responsibility for diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing clinical management remains with your treating healthcare provider.

Recent blood test results and supporting clinical information may be requested before your appointment.

If you are unsure whether therapeutic venesection is suitable for your condition, please consult your healthcare provider before booking.
